Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh, the largest community in the city center, have closely co-organized the Halloween ceremony in a safety protocol to bring liveliness to the community. The event, known as Tuk Tuk Halloween, with many thrilling activities, took place on Saturday, October 30th, 2021, at Factory Phnom Penh and Urban village.

Tuk Tuk Halloween has been annually celebrated by Factory Phnom Penh. Its original concept was to bring the family to go around the city to specifically designated places for each activity.

This year, Tuk Tuk Halloween was especially shifted to celebrate at its main base at Factory Phnom Penh and Urban Village. This community-focused premise and all the tenants, from Fly Phnom Penh-the biggest trampoline park to Montessori-a well-known international school, from Dance factory to Xiaomi experience store, and all the restaurants along retail street cater to entertain the attendees.

Adults and children adorned themselves in spooky costumes, had joined this one-whole day spectacular event. There were many activities for participants, including Treasure Hunt, VR Game, Selfie Contest at Urban Village showroom, to name a few. what was more surprising, the famous game from the Netflix hit Korean series, Squid Game, Dalgona candy was put to compete at Urban Village showroom, bringing the atmosphere to be even more thrilling. 

Many prizes were given to the winners of the best-dressed family, best-decorated tuk-tuk, and best child costume. Mr. Keit, an enthusiastic attendee, expressed his excitement “This event allows people to mingle in a big open-space venue.” Meanwhile, Ms. Leak and her 10-year-old son, dressed in ghastly outfits, told us “It is a such great opportunity to socialize and experience the vibrant community at this well-situated condo project.”

Nevertheless, this event was strictly held in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention protocol imposed by the Cambodian Government. QR code scan, body temperature check, and vaccination card were compulsory at each entrance for all attendees. In addition, mask-wearing was mandatorily implemented, and social distancing was meticulously monitored by the security team.

Dr. Ben Li and Ms. Catherine Chan, Founders & Executive Directors at Urban Village & Factory Phnom Penh, stated “we want to organize this event to allow our residents as well as attendees to witness the vibrancy of the community. We carry our mission of providing a community-focused living to all the residents of Urban Village.”

“We keep building more facilities to comfort the living of our residents. From time to time, we organize various social events to bring the people together, such as this Tuk Tuk Halloween,” They added.

Urban Village and Factory Phnom Penh, the biggest community in the city center, aim to provide a community-focused environment to its residents.
