Phare Circus’s Debut in Phnom Penh at Urban Village & Factory Phnom Penh

In cooperation with Phare Ponleu Selpak, Urban Village is bringing Cambodia’s famous circus shows to Phnom Penh. It is going to be their first time performing in town. The cooperation aims to promote Cambodian modern arts as well as to support the organization which is currently affected by the covid-19 pandemic, said Urban Village’s founder and executive director, Catherine Chan.

Ms. Catherine adds, there will be four fully-sponsored private shows at Factory Phnom Penh’s Artspace inside the Urban Village’s international community for residents and visitors to enjoy, performed by well-trained students from Phare Ponleu Selpak, an organization working to improve the lives of disadvantaged Cambodian children through arts and education.

“Art is very important to our daily lives and we can not live without it. I am very delighted with this cooperation to bring the best circus performances in Cambodia for residents and visitors of our international community to experience. I hope this cooperation will help reduce all the stress and problems the organization is currently facing due to covid-19,” Ms. Catherine said.
